Paris Fashion Week F/W 2011-2012 FAVOURITE

Presenting you my favourite collection from Paris Fashion Week F/W 2011-2012. Haider Ackermann. This man really deserves some attention. AT first, Karl lagerfeld called him his potential successor, but now with Dior firing Galliano, he is rumoured to become a designer for Dior. Let's see where this genius will end up, but for now, absorb his recent collection. Gorgeous sillouhettes, beautiful draping, innovative ideas, great colour blocking, in fact great colours period, sort of jewel tones, leather, long skirts, powerful jackets and super thick belts. I want it all! Watch ou for this one and enjoy for now ;)

Chanel Couture

I am sorry that i did not finish writing about Haute Couture collections in Paris that took place in January. I won't focus on them much anymore, but i did want to share my thoughts re Chanel, the most anticipated collection for me in this one. Although Mr Lagerfeld did not go crazy, his collection for Chanel was beyond gorgeous. And even though one might say that it is not Couture enough, i disagree, Couture does not have to be too crazy. The details are amazing, so much thought put into making each piece, so many hours of work.
here you are, guys, a few pieces that i absolutely loved

gorgeous jacket, sequinced leggings. this piece is a definition of Chanel

how elegant and stunning is this dress? look at the beading!

skirt over pants... back?

love this one too! colour, length, elegance!

each model looked like a dancer, and thos shoes are adorable as well. i also have a soft spot for long skirts and dresses ;)

Dear TO modleing industry, can you get a little more exciting?

I have been thinking about it for a while, but today it was the last drop. TO modeling industry sucks, im sorry....
Canada is a great market to start modleing career in. It has a few good agency that really care for you, a few good photographers, stylists, make up and hair stylists, designers, that will do great job to start your portfolio, and when you start travelling and say that you are from Canada, lets get real, people love it!
Although there are a few magazines, and good clients...its boring... its slow...The jobs and castings that we do here are for Zellers, Sears, Wallmart... And magazines that shoot 'high fashion'... ah, come on, for Canada it is high fashion, but once you go to a big market (Milano, NY, Paris) they call it 'commercial'...

There are a lot of great girls here too and we want to work at home, as well.
so, Dear TO modleing industry, can you get a little more exciting? ;)

CHEERS!
