Milano Fashion Week Review P.1

The shows I was really looking for this season are shown in Milano during the Milano Fashion Week:
Wow, Blumarine got a lot of print, really. That animal, leopard print is clearly the highlight of the collection. It appeared in different colours like blue, pink, beige through out the show, but it is way too much for me. Although the silhouettes of the pieces are gorgeous!

Emilio Pucci’s girl is a glamorous rock star in the season of spring/summer 2011. From fitted pants and flowy dresses to swimwear, all these in gorgeous prints in great colours! As accessories models are wearing bandanas and sunglasses.

N° 21 by Alessandro Dell’Acqua: You look at ths collection and it gives you no emotions. Beautiful and everything seems to be so right, so in place, but nothing too exciting. Usually no criticism is bad, in this case ‘Well Done’. We can see the continuation of the need for long skirts, white colours, beautiful lines. Also loved the look of the models. Very laid back and fresh. This is exactly the situation when long hours are put into creation of a ‘nothing done, natural’ look.

Iceberg brought up a casual and relaxed collection with the hints of rock and roll to the ‘table’. Loved seeing new shapes and solutions in dresses, pants and shirts. Highlight: slits on the skirts ;)

Fellow Canadians, our loved ones DSquared2 showed a great collection, yet again!Models were wearing big ‘sun’ glasses, fedoras, flats and dressed in casual pieces, but looking very chic. Collection is most definitely inspired by strength, which resulted in masculine silhouettes, fedoras and wide pants. Very unexpected, given the fact that this duo usually comes up with sexy collections.

Roberto Cavalli, oh, thank you so much for having Natalia Vodyanova to open the show! Sexy sleek long and straight model’s hair complemented the use of long dark fringe in accessories and main pieces itself. Collection itself is interesting, with really calm colours such as pale lavender, beige and black of coarse, crystals, prints and fringe with long dresses, yet it is sexy thanks to low rise pants and fitted tops.

Alberta Ferretti: Once again, 70’s ARE back! Gorgeous gowns, big hats, lovely earth tones.
