Stylish New York City

Fashion Week is not only about new fashion decisions on the runway, but it is the time when you might witness the craziest outfits. Every one who is involved in this business carefully chooses their outfits because they know they will be photographed a lot and discussed a lot as well.
So, after some web surfing i found a few great pics that show some of the outfits i really like, or some details about them. Pics are from other blogs, mostly from jakandjil, styleandthecity and thesartorialist.
Enjoy and get inspired!

when fashion week comes to NYC 1.0

BCBG Max Azria
Delivered a very consistent and minimalistic collection with flowy feminine outfits, turtle necks ( I have a soft spot for those ones), and boots below the knee. Black and white colours sometimes mixed with something bright or camel, to remind us of summer and previous seasons.

Richard Chai Love
Back to 90s…
Gorgeous cast of the models was dressed in strongly tailored outfits with male silhouettes and later more flowy and off figure pieces. Just like F/W collections are supposed to be: dark colours were dominant, with some florals, and beige towards the end. An interesting trend is back coming from Haute Couture Chanel: pants and skirt together. Wearable? Judge for yourself!

Jason Wu
I LOVE IT! I can not stop looking at the collection again and again, i love it!
A breath of fresh air for an evening out. Love the attention put in details, every look was so beautiful and sophisticated, very black and white but colours were not forgotten either, as they appeared  later in the show. Once again, love the details: crystals, feathers, lace, oh and lace masks, how sexy! Perfection!

Rag and Bone
Although, not my favourite, it was an interesting show. Braided hair on the models, colours, cool sporty looks, fur, and leg warmers are back. Definitely with some Scottish inspiration behind  it.

Jil Stuart
I love it, when F/W collection ends up being fun and colourful. This is the case, thank you thank you for using prints and colours. Especially taken a new twist on red, green and blue, not summer bright but darken shades of them. Pleated skirts and dresses below the knee seemed to be a focus of the collection.

Altuzarra
Lots of feminine pieces, with burgundy and green, sheer fabric and fur on shoes, cute! Once again, skirts and dresses over pants, not leggings! It seems that sleek hair pinned back is becoming a trend, too!

DKNY
Very very cool- this is how you can describe the collection. From the runway to the outfits to the models, everything screamed cool. Brick wall with pink lights, leather jackets, hats, heels, colours…amazing! Oh, yeah, and for those of you who doubted, orange and camel are still in!
